Bombay Noir is Rotterdams nieuwste genre-hoppende gezelschap dat bolly-jazz, swing, disco en alles daartussen mixt. De band wordt geleid door de Indiase zangeres Varshita Ramesh en gedragen door een zevenkoppige groep jonge muzikanten uit de Europese jazzscene. Met bold big-band arrangementen herwerken ze tijdloze songs van o.a. R.D. Burman, Ilaiyaraaja en A.R. Rahman, met behoud van de ziel en een frisse energie. Na volle shows dit jaar, waaronder een opvallende set op North Sea Jazz Festival, dendert Bombay Noir richting 2026 door.
