GHAIS GUEVARA

Ghais Guevara is een rapper die net zo makkelijk op enorme podia staat als in punk rock dive bars en Marxistische boekwinkels. Opgegroeid in North Philly, in een omgeving waarin geweld en overlevingsstrategieën hand in hand gingen, werd hij tegelijk gevormd door generaties radicale Black leftist thought. Die botsingen en spanningsvelden zijn de kern van zijn werk: scherpe, geestige en overtuigende teksten die spelen met contrast, perspectief en narratieve conflicten. Daarbij doet hij meer dan rappen alleen: zijn sound wordt gedragen door zijn eigen beatmaking, als een soort one-man band. Zijn nieuwste LP heet Goyard & The Kayfabe Reveal: een project dat de lore van zijn alter ego verder uitbreidt en bewustzijn wil meegeven dat blijft hangen. Zijn werk kreeg kritische en culturele erkenning van onder meer Vice, NPR en The Needle Drop.

SKOFNIKS

Skofniks is een Haags rapduo bestaande uit Parbo en Wol e. De twee schoolvrienden rappen al sinds 2005; als formatie Skofniks bestaan ze nu ongeveer tien jaar. Hun voorliefde voor oldskool hiphop hoor je direct terug in hun sound: bangers met punchlines, diepzinnige teksten en storytelling, maar ook veel laidback chillers. De afgelopen jaren werkten ze aan uiteenlopende projecten, en sinds een paar jaar zijn ze serieuzer bezig met muziek. Momenteel werken ze aan het album Kustzinnig, een ode aan de G-funk classics. Daarnaast staan Parbo en Wol e ook bekend als hosts van Du Weef, de bekendste new wave trap party in Den Haag. Skofniks brengt een dagelijkse fix met wolken als symbool voor de creatieve geest in ons allemaal.

DJ R4SHAN

DJ R4SHAN is een DJ met een brede selectie en een eigen draaistijl, waarmee hij door heel Nederland al menig feest op zijn kop heeft gezet. Zijn basis ligt bij vinyl: hij leerde draaien in het Haags Hiphop Centrum, waar het vakmanschap van plaat naar plaat centraal staat. Vanuit daar ging het hard en drukte hij een stevige stempel, waardoor zijn naam inmiddels goed rondzoemt. DJ R4SHAN kiest niet voor één vaste hoek: hij schakelt moeiteloos van oldschool hiphop naar de nieuwste tracks, afhankelijk van het moment en het publiek. Daarnaast is hij vaste show-DJ van Skofniks, wat hem een herkenbare factor maakt binnen hun avonden. Verwacht dope sounds en een flexe vibe van een DJ die soepel beweegt tussen eras en energie.

Ghais Guevara is a rapper whose path cuts across enormous venues, punk rock dive bars, and Marxist book stores. Born and raised in North Philly amid both guns and gang avoidance tactics, he was nurtured and educated through generational radical Black leftist thought. That tension fuels his music: witty, compelling lyrical writing built on juxtapositions and narrative conflicts drawn from lived contradiction. Sonically, he moves with a one-man-band approach, soundtracked by his own beatmaking ability. His newest LP, Goyard & The Kayfabe Reveal, pushes the story further by expanding the lore of his alter ego while aiming to impart a consciousness that sticks with the listener’s psyche. His standout work has earned critical and cultural recognition from outlets including Vice, NPR, and The Needle Drop, positioning him as an artist who thrives where scenes collide.

Skofniks is a rap duo from The Hague, consisting of Parbo and Wol e. The two school friends have been rapping since 2005, and Skofniks has existed as a formation for around ten years. Their music carries a clear love for oldschool hiphop, heard in hard-hitting bangers with punchlines, deeper lyrics, and storytelling, alongside plenty of laidback chillers. Over the past years they worked on various projects, but in the last few years they’ve taken music more seriously. They are currently working on an album titled Kustzinnig, described as an ode to G-funk classics. Beyond their own releases, the MCs are also known as the hosts of Du Weef, the best-known new wave trap party in The Hague. Expect dope energy, sharp writing, and a relaxed groove that still lands with impact.

From there, his name started circulating fast, leaving a clear mark wherever he plays. Rather than sticking to one lane, DJ R4SHAN moves smoothly from oldschool hiphop to the newest tracks, shaping the set around the room’s energy. He is also the fixed show DJ for Skofniks, adding continuity and extra drive to their nights. Expect dope sounds and a confident, flexible vibe built on versatility and feel for the crowd.
