MASACRE

Masacre is een deathmetalband uit Medellín, Colombia, opgericht in 1988 binnen een maatschappelijke context van geweld en onrust die sterk doorwerkt in hun muziek. Hun sound, geïnspireerd door de Europese death metal uit de jaren tachtig, kenmerkt zich door hoge intensiteit, agressieve tempo’s, duistere teksten rond geweld en maatschappelijke thema’s. Met vroege demo’s als Colombia… Imperio de Terror en Cancer de Nuestros Días legde de band de basis voor een internationale carrière, die werd versterkt door releases als Requiem. Masacre groeide uit tot een vaste waarde binnen de wereldwijde deathmetalscene, met uitgebreide tours door Latijns-Amerika, Noord-Amerika en Europa en optredens op grote festivals. Door consistente releases en internationale samenwerkingen heeft de band haar positie blijvend versterkt en een herkenbare, invloedrijke identiteit ontwikkeld.

Dauthuz

Sinds 2015 levert Dauthuz een eigen, compromisloze interpretatie van old-school death metal uit Nederland, waarbij ze verpletterende zwaarte combineren met rauwe intensiteit en meedogenloze agressie. Het kwintet, bestaande uit muzikanten die verbonden zijn aan bands als Nembrionic, Dissect en Eternal Solstice, put uit diepe wortels in de Nederlandse metalscene. Kort na de oprichting bracht Dauthuz de zelfstandig uitgebrachte EP DAUTHUZ, gevolgd door het debuutalbum Destined for Death via WormHoleDeath, dat sterke reacties oogstte binnen de extreme metalgemeenschap. De band deelde vervolgens het podium met acts als I Am Morbid, Vltimas en Sinister. Beïnvloed door bands als Death, Entombed en Vomitory, combineert Dauthuz beukende riffs, brute ritmes en thema’s rond oorlog, dood en geweld.

Masacre is a death metal band from Medellín, Colombia, founded in 1988 within a social context of violence and unrest that strongly resonates in their music. Their sound, inspired by 1980s European death metal, is characterized by high intensity, aggressive tempos, and dark lyrics centered on violence and social themes. With early demos such as Colombia… Imperio de Terror and Cancer de Nuestros Días, the band laid the foundation for an international career, further strengthened by releases like Requiem. Masacre has grown into a staple within the global death metal scene, with extensive tours across Latin and North America, and Europe, as well as performances at major festivals. Through consistent releases and international collaborations, the band has solidified its position and developed a distinctive, influential identity.

Dauthuz

Since 2015, Dauthuz has been delivering its own relentless take on old-school death metal from the Netherlands, combining skull-crushing heaviness with raw intensity and uncompromising aggression. Formed by musicians connected to bands including Nembrionic, Dissect, and Eternal Solstice, the quintet draws from deep roots within the Dutch metal scene. Shortly after forming, Dauthuz independently released the EP DAUTHUZ, followed by the debut album Destined for Death through WormHoleDeath, earning strong responses from the extreme metal community. The band went on to share stages with acts including I Am Morbid, Vltimas and Sinister. Influenced by bands such as Death, Entombed and Vomitory, Dauthuz combines pounding riffs, brutal rhythms and themes centred around war, death and human violence.
