The band emerged in response to a period when punk was becoming increasingly commercial, bringing the genre back to the core of rebellion, activism, and social engagement. Their music combines the direct energy of street punk with outspoken political and social messages, resulting in an intense and confrontational live performance. In addition to their musical activities, Total Chaos has played an active role within grassroots organizations, including United Valley Punks, Orange County Peace Punks, and the Alternative Gathering Collective. Furthermore, they supported initiatives such as Food Not Bombs, the Big Mountain Indian Reservation, and the Los Angeles Anarchist Center. In the current Battered & Smashed era, their message sounds more urgent than ever, driven by the same conviction and sense of community that have characterized the band for decades.

Rumkicks

Rumkicks is a three-piece punk band from Seoul, South Korea, active since their debut in 2018. With a direct and energetic mix of punk rock and social engagement, the band incorporates themes such as feminism, identity, and mental health into sharp, urgent songs. Following the singles ‘We’ and ‘Youth 18’ in 2019, Rumkicks released their first EP Brutality, in 2020, followed by outspoken tracks such as ‘Don’t Touch My Head,’ about the sexual harassment they experience as an all-female band, and ‘I don’t wanna die,’ inspired by breaking the glass ceiling.
