Atomic Aggressor

Atomic Aggressor behoort sinds het midden van de jaren tachtig tot de grondleggers van de Chileense deathmetalscene. De band begon in 1985 met een mix van death metal, thrash en hardcorepunk, maar koos in 1988 definitief voor een pure deathmetalkoers met Enrique Zúñiga, Pato Leiva, Alejandro Díaz en Jaime Moya. Hun veelgeprezen livedebuut en de invloedrijke demo Bloody Ceremonial bezorgden de band al snel internationale aandacht binnen de underground. Ectovoid

Ectovoid werd in 2010 opgericht als trio in het zuiden van de Verenigde Staten en ontwikkelde een eigen vorm van blackened death metal waarin duistere sferen, ongewone riffs en intensiteit samenkomen. Met gelaagde drums, donkere vocalen en beklemmende composities verkent de band de somberste hoeken van geest en ziel. De muziek blijft duidelijk geworteld in de tradities van death metal zonder trends te volgen. Na twee albums en diverse andere releases heeft Ectovoid zich ontwikkeld tot een herkenbare naam binnen de undergroundscene. In 2026 verschijnt het derde album, In Unreality’s Coffin, via Everlasting Spew Records. Tegelijkertijd zal de band hun allereerste optredens op Europese bodem spelen. De huidige bezetting bestaat uit muzikanten die ook actief zijn of waren in onder meer Father Befouled, Seraphic Entombment en Cemetery Filth.

Atomic Aggressor

Atomic Aggressor has been a pioneering force in the Chilean death metal scene since the mid-1980s. The band started in 1985 with a blend of death metal, thrash, and hardcore punk, but in 1988—with the lineup of Enrique Zúñiga, Pato Leiva, Alejandro Díaz, and Jaime Moya—they firmly committed to a pure death metal direction. Their highly acclaimed live debut and the influential Bloody Ceremonial demo quickly garnered international underground attention. After disbanding in 1992, Atomic Aggressor returned in 2007, ushering in a new era that included extensive touring, shows alongside Venom, Slayer, and Possessed, and the release of their long-awaited debut album, Sights of Suffering. Since then, the band has remained active, releasing the EP Invoking the Primal Chaos and performing across Latin America, Europe, and the United States. They are currently working on a second studio album, scheduled for release in 2026.

Ectovoid

Ectovoid was formed as a trio in the southern United States in 2010, developing a distinctive form of blackened death metal that fuses dark atmospheres, unconventional riffs, and intense energy. Through layered drums, dark vocals, and oppressive compositions, the band explores the bleakest recesses of the mind and soul. Their music remains firmly rooted in death metal traditions, eschewing trends. Following two albums and various other releases, Ectovoid has established itself as a recognized name in the underground scene. Their third album, In Unreality’s Coffin, is set for release in 2026 via Everlasting Spew Records, coinciding with the band’s first-ever European performances. The current lineup features musicians who are or have been active in bands such as Father Befouled, Seraphic Entombment, and Cemetery Filth.
