HARLOTT

Harlott is een thrashmetalband uit de oostelijke buitenwijken van Melbourne, Australië, opgericht in 2006. De band haalt inspiratie uit de jaren 80 Bay Area-thrash en combineert dat met Teutoonse melodie en grit tot high-energy, uptempo songs. Tekstueel duikt Harlott in thema’s als oorlog, religie, chaos en de menselijke conditie. Live staat de band bekend om agressie, klinisch strak spel en een herkenbaar geluid, met een klassieke ‘Aussie’ sense of humour als extra laag. Struck A Nerve serveert een mokerslag aan moderne thrash metal, gedreven door pure underground spirit. De band put uit een hardcore en brute thrashbasis, met invloeden als Sodom, Demolition Hammer, Power Trip, Enforced en Slayer. Hun self-titled debuutalbum Struck A Nerve (9 tracks) is bewust een statement: zo agressief en intens mogelijk, zonder compromis. Tekstueel gaat de plaat over de aanwezigheid van geweld door de geschiedenis heen en hoe dat zich blijft herhalen in het heden. In de productie kiest de band voor extra extremiteit door ook death metal en crossover-invloeden mee te nemen, inclusief een hint van HM2 op de gitaren. Het album werd opgenomen met producer Sam Turbitt (Ritual Studios) en verscheen op 28 november 2025 via Listenable Records. De line-up bestaat uit Nathan Sadd (gitaar), Aarran Tucker (bas/zang), Christopher Williams (drums) en Lexell Altair Garrido (gitaar).
