MASACRE

Masacre is een deathmetalband uit Medellín, Colombia, opgericht in 1988 binnen een maatschappelijke context van geweld en onrust die sterk doorwerkt in hun muziek. Hun sound, geïnspireerd door de Europese death metal uit de jaren tachtig, kenmerkt zich door hoge intensiteit, agressieve tempo’s, duistere teksten rond geweld en maatschappelijke thema’s. Met vroege demo’s als Colombia… Imperio de Terror en Cancer de Nuestros Días legde de band de basis voor een internationale carrière, die werd versterkt door releases als Requiem.
