Formed from the remnants of bands including Butt Plug and Halcyon, the group is based in Roosendaal, where it continues to rehearse and develop a live repertoire of approximately two hours. Rather than presenting itself as a conventional cover or tribute act, EMERGENDIZER describes its approach as a “cobuteband”: performing songs by other artists with a focus on lesser-known tracks and overlooked names from the 1980s crossover, hardcore and thrash scenes. Their setlist features material from bands such as S.O.D./M.O.D., Cryptic Slaughter, D.R.I., Prong, Leeway, Uncle Slam, Crumbsuckers, Celtic Frost and GBH, alongside compositions by Overkill, Nuclear Assault, Exodus, Slayer and Sepultura.
