CallLab
CallLab is an experiment in which the audience guides a solo set in various ways. The audience will be randomly split into groups, some directly controlling musical parameters, some making decisions on the form of the piece, and some giving arbitrary suggestions that are open for interpretation by the performer.
The piece has a loosely composed form with an open score. The sonic results will be unique to each performance.
Müşfik Can Müftüoğlu
Original from Istanbul, Turkey, Musfik came to The Netherlands to study electronic music composition at HKU. He worked with various styles of music, theatre and dance as a composing producer and performer.
In the last years, he has been interested in collaborative creation methods, either traditional forms of jamming and improvising or coordinating interdisciplinary projects. The online interactions between people, increasingly popular partly due to the pandemic, led him to consider smartphones as a medium for collaboration.
