Rhapsody Of Fire
Keyboardist / songwriter and co-founder of the original Rhapsody, Alex Staropoli, is no stranger to change. From the band’s evolution into Rhapsody Of Fire in 2006, to parting ways with guitarist / co-founder Luca Turilli in 2011, to bringing aboard new singer Giacomo Voli in 2016, Staropoli has stood strong and forged ahead even though it looked from the outside like everything was falling apart. With each new change, Rhapsody Of Fire defied the odds and succeeded in winning over fans and critics alike with each consecutive album. Perhaps the greatest test came in the form of the band’s 12th studio album, The Eighth Mountain – released in 2019 – which featured the first saga in the band’s history not written by Turilli, and Voli’s first recorded work as Rhapsody Of Fire’s frontman.
Glory For Salvation would not be a Rhapsody Of Fire album if it wasn’t rooted in a concept, thus it acts as the second chapter of The Nephilim’s Empire Saga, which began with The Eighth Mountain. The saga centers on the argument of redemption and the valor of life. The hero is aware of his mistakes, wants to remedy them in order to seek redemption, and to fight for what is right. Taking things a step into the real world, Staropoli feels the saga can be viewed as the development of an individual; a development that will bring a person to the highest point, which is the complete realization of who he or she truly is. The concept was developed by Roby De Micheli and Staropoli, with the lyrics written by Giacomo Voli and being the very last element added to the musical
With thirteen albums, three EPs and two live albums over 24 years this band is here to stay!
AVALAND is an Epic and Symphonic Metal Opera, written and composed by Adrien G. Gzagg, born in 1998 in Grenoble, France.
Inspired by fantasy, alchemy, legends and History, Adrien have thought about 10 stories in different timelines, telling 10 important chapters of the magical place he baptized Avaland.
Adrien’s musical influences started very young with Alan Parsons Project. As a teenager, he discovered in his father’s vinyls Yes, Deep Purple, Genesis, Journey… His curiosity brought him step by step to hard rock and heavy metal, and of course to his today main influences : Avantasia, Ayreon, Savatage…
With up tempo hymns, a high portion of classical melodies, cleverly played, tricky guitar parts and Olaf Hayer’s (ex-Luca Turilli) unmistakable vocals, SYMPHONITY easily reached international standards.
After various strokes of fate, the band returned with the powerful “Marco Polo (Part 2) – Crimson Silk)”, feturing their new vocalists Antonio Abate (Perseus) and Mayo Petranin (ex-Signum Regis)
The band´s new line-up was completed by announcing the new keyboard player Johannes Frykholm (PALANTÍR) in July 2021. With this line-up the band was working on a new album which will be released in May 2022 and will be titled Marco Polo – The Metal Soundtrack.
